DIY Glitter Boots

Start with whatever pair of boots/booties you have. I had these combat boots that I thought were a little too tough for my current style, so I thought why not add some glitter to make them more feminine?

Step 1: Pour the glue onto your paintbrush.
(I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, so I decided to first do it with Elmer's glue. Turns out I love it, so I peeled it off and will be redoing it with a leather glue very soon.)

Step 2: Paint the glue onto the panel/panels that you intend to glitter. If the section is large, make sure to section it off so that the glue doesn't dry before you apply the glitter.

Step 3: Pour the glitter onto the glue. Pour liberally! After pouring the glitter onto the section, before you knock off the extra, make sure to tap the glitter into the glue. You want it to be as flat to the glue as possible so that it sticks for good.
(I chose black glitter because I wanted it to look as subtle as possible.)

FINISHED PRODUCT!

Things you'll need:
Boots (or shoes, new or old)
Glue (Elmer's for the noncommittal, Leather glue otherwise)
Glitter (any color you wish)

Let us know if you try it and how it turns out!

Enjoy,
