To do this manicure, I painted 2 coats of the charcoal base color Over the Top, and waited for it to dry thoroughly. Then using a round sticker (price stickers or reinforcers) I placed them on the lower part of the nail near the nail bed protecting a section of the charcoal. Then I painted a thick layer of the Mint Candy Apple waited a few seconds for it to dry then removed the sticker. Add a top coat, and you're set.

Using the tape trick again like last week's manicure. I painted 2 coats of the nude Brooch the Subject. After waiting for the base to dry, I sectioned off the top corner one nail at a time and painted one thick coat of the pink Watermelon. Waited just a few seconds and removed the tape. I did this for the top section of each nail. Then after waiting for it to dry again, I sectioned off the bottom section using the same method (one at a time, otherwise the tape will stick and you'll have a mess on your hands!). Then apply a clear top coat and you're set.

Giving some more of my pinterest recipes a try this week--eggplant parm sliders and eggplant fries! So far the ones I've tried have been pretty good. In an attempt to not be wasteful, here are two recipes to try using one eggplant--on different nights, of course.

Steps:

1- Paint your base coat to avoid nail staining

2- Paint (2) coats of your base color

3- Let base color dry really well

4- Cut strips of tape and apply to the nail in the shape of a "V"

5- Paint (2) coats of your top color

6- Let dry for a few seconds then remove tape quickly

7- Apply clear top coat

Good Eats - Lunch

I've always been a fan of cooking/baking/eating (with an emphasis on eating because it's less work), but not until Pinterest came into my life did I really start seeking out recipes. This looks like it might be a fast light lunch-snack, and trade out the tomato for a roasted pepper and it seems like we've got a deal.
